I have been trying to get insurance through my job for a while now and they are unable to work with me and help me. I am looking to apply for cheap medical insurance like Medi-cal/Medi-care but i do not know what steps to take.
This will be of real help if you decide to buy Health Insurance...................Depends on where you live and just what your needs are. Here's a article that addresses that same question....http://healthinsurance.about.com/od/faqs…
.....In that article, clicking the "insurance commisioner"URL toward bottom of the Article will bring you to a State by State Map that leads to the Insurance Commision in your State,,,,,where you will find info about what's available in your area.........Here's another very good site you'll find MUCH EASIER to use, just agree to the terms(no big deal) enter your State and Zip, be sure to check at least 1 of the 3 little boxes you probably want private plan and it'll bring up plan info with ratings, though ratings aren't necessarilly accurate........http://reportcard.ncqa.org/plan/external…
the site works, ....enter state, zip, read terms of service, check little box that you agree to terms of service...be sure to check at least one of the 3 little boxes underneath. This is a great site for seeing what is available...and you can then call the Plan of your choice and talk to them about what you want.

Just off the top of my head, Blu Care and Cigna are good, so much depends on what is available in your State.
