We often believe that as a peasant compared to health care kings, it is almost like the system was designed to win and us to lose. Not necessarily. To the healthy it just may be that, a system designed to take our moneyHowever, we often fail to realize major tragedy's which may force us to visit our local emergency room. A friend kept receiving persistent yet sharp headaches for months on end, he went to a pain management clinic in Florida. No remedy was found so a MRI was required. The cost, $3,500!! Affordable health insurance would have prevent this.
Taking this into consideration, something as simple as a headache can lead to a an enormous bill, subsequently causing a heart attack! Forgive my exaggeration, but I must admit, I was rather shocked when I found this out. Only if my friend had obtained Florida health insurance, the outcome would have been pleasant as opposed to being detrimental. Imagine the following. A family of 4 is pulling out of shopping mall, and a collision occurs. Unfortunately, they do not have health insurance. After many complain of headaches, backaches, and shock; they are admitted to a hospital. Without family health insurance, this can be one costly adventure, even if it is not the family's fault. We all know how long a court case can take. With how long the court system takes, it is likely you will be stuck with a majority of these medical bills for years to come. This is why family health insurance is critical to the safety of your family.
We need to be concerned with what matters, our health, without our health we cannot be happy. The consequences of being not insured may have multiple negative effects besides the financial examples previously stated. A very common example in my opinion, is depression,if one is depressed, their loved ones may feel as if it is something THEY are doing wrong. When indeed it is not. Perhaps you have not noticed, just thought your having a bunch of bad days, With health insurance, a $20.00 doctor visit can change all of this and possibly a $10.00 prescription. For the uninsured, it may cost in upwards of $200.00, thus preventing the sick from seeking a doctors assistance.
